The Emporium Nostrum mission is to bring to the wine lovers the opportunity to learn, taste and enjoy quality wines made by serious professionals wine makers that follow the traditional methods and emphasize in using the best grapes to create a wine that will embrace customers with a memorable experience of taste and pleasure, vintage after vintage.
Emporium Nostrum started as an idea based on the needs that we, as wine lovers, were looking in our search for better wines; created not commercially, but produced with care selection and love integrating the use of land, quality and tradition. In 2009, with this in mind we embarked in a journey to visit wineries in the countries that we appreciate the wines, such as Italy, California, Spain, France, Portugal and Brazil. For almost one month, we visited, experienced learned and tasted wines produced with the qualities that we loved. We also identified wineries that to our surprise where not in the USA, and some that where getting into the market in limited quantities and only to selected consumers. Upon returning to the States, we spoke to Importers and distributors of wines, and were totally discourage to develop our idea of bringing high quality wines to the market. With month passing, we started to meet people that like us, where looking for those wines that bring us to a different stage in pleasure. When having a wine that is not just for drinking it, but also sharing it with others in a dinner or by themselves is a completely different scenario.
After two years networking with people, we noticed their disappointment with wines that have been offered at tastings, food festivals, dinner and food paring, so that we decided that is the niche of the market we need to explore... quality wines.
As a result, Emporium Nostrum was born. A company dedicated in importing and distributing the best wines from different regions of Italy and other parts of the world.
