Domaine Des Ouches

Picture
For eight generations, we are working on the family estate of Ouches. Thomas and Denis Gambier lead the vineyard 17 hectares located in the village of Ingrandes de Touraine in Bourgueil appellation. They produce more red wines by separating their different terroirs. They also offer a rose wine that underscores other aspects of our grape Cabernet Franc. Gambier brothers trying to make the best their individual plots. On the gravel the soil warms quickly and the grapes reach maturity faster. This is where they produce their pink finesse and round and fruity red wines.

On the slopes, soils are generally more in clay based on a limestone rock. Maturation is slower and more concentrated grapes. Careful attention is paid to a tillage work in greens and hand-picking to select the best grapes. The wines are aged in barrels hills in beautiful cellars dug in the tufa, away days and the ravages of time.
